Chpt 4: It was only a kiss....right?

Dibs eyes were still wide from the kiss as the other held him close and kissed him. Dibs heart was racing along with Zims eventually Zim broke the kiss causing an awkward
scilence to pass between them. Dib gulped "w-what was that?" he asked him shyly looking away Zim blinked and looked at him feeling a little worried by his reaction "I-It..was a k-kiss"
He admited Dib and him were silent for a long while till the ride ended and they grabbed their stuff getting off. Dib looked away as Zim stared at him with huge puppydog eyes
"D-Did Zim anger you?" he asked in a quivering voice. Dib looked away "No...its just...w-we'r just friends....Right?" Zim looked shocked then looked down sadly "Y-Yeah....just friends."
Zim had tears in his eyes he then sniffled and ran off "I-I gotta go!" he cried. Dib looked at him sadly as he ran away then shook his head and ran after him "ZIM WAIT!" he called out
as he chased the other Zim ran fast "No, leave Zim be!" he cried tripping over a crack in the sidewalk and falling on his face Dib knelt down and picked him up "Zim! are you o-" he
saw Zims tears "Oh, Zim" he caressed his cheek and wipped away his tears with his thumb "why are you crying" Zim sniffled and trembled "Z-Zims not crying!" he lied. Dib looked at him sadly
"Zim, please. Tell me whats wrong" Zim closed his eyes tight "Y-You didnt kiss Zim back!" he cried. Dib was caught quite off gaurd by his yelling "I-I...." he blushed and looked away
"I-I....I...."he sighed and picked the other up bridal style when Gir came running up "Gir..grab Zims stuff and follow me" Zim struggled trying to get out of his arms Zim "L-Let me go!"
Zim cried all the way home as Dib carried him he felt horrible but he didnt fully understand his feelings yet. by the time they got back Zim had worn himself out and was alseep in his arms
Dib brought him to his room and tucked him into the soft red and pink satin sheets gently kissing his forhead "I....I'm sorry really I am." he then turned to leave only to feel a hand grab
his arm and pull him back onto the bed "woah!" he blushed whne Zim nuzzled up to him in his sleep holding him close with a death grip. "Z-Zim, W-Wake up!" he couldn't get the other to wake up
eventually he just gave in and let the other hold him close. "...Zim....likes....Dib..." he said sniffling and nuzzling into his chest "no leavies.." Dib smiled a little and held him close
"I wont leave....I'll stay here with you" he kissed his forhead softly. Zim let out a low content purr all thruout the night as he slept in Dib's arms Dib smiled as he fell asleep with him
he wouldn't ever admit it to anyone but her cared for Zim on a very deep level. The next morning Dib woke up still holding Zim close he smiled and blushed kissing his lips, just then, Zim woke up and his eyes widdened as his cheeks flared up a light blue.
'i-is he kissing me?' he smiled slightly and kissed back causing Dibs eyes to widden "Hmph!?" he blushed insanely when he realized the other was awake he broke the kiss and looked into the others eyes
his own still slightly wide from shock "I-I uh...um..." Zim put a finger on his lips "your cute when you get shy" he then kissed him again. Dib tensed at first then slowly relaxed and gave in kissing back
in their heads they thought the exsact same thing 'I love you' little did they know their worlds would be turned upside down soon.
